Our Staff

We understand how difficult it is to lose a loved one. Our compassionate and caring team work hard each and every day to make sure that the members of our community and beyond are taken care of during such a difficult time. For advice on what to do when a loved one is dying, making funeral arrangements, pre-arranging your own funeral, or anything else, please feel free to contact us, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We promise to work with you and your family in your time of need to create the perfect memorial service for your loved one. We will be here for you today, as well as tomorrow.

Jason is the owner and president of Northridge Funeral Home Ltd. He began his career in funeral services working for Arn Funeral Homes serving the communities of Dutton, Glencoe, and Alvinston. Wishing to continue his education, Jason went to Toronto and attended Humber College to become a licenced funeral director and then began working for the G.H. Hogle Funeral Homes of Etobicoke . When opportunity became available Jason returned to Elgin County and began working with Padfield Funeral Homes, serving the West Lorne and Rodney communities. After working numerous years with Padfield's, Jason made the choice to relocated to the Rainy River District of Ontario and begin his life's ambition of owning his own funeral home. Jason is always available to answer any questions you may have or concerns about your funeral needs.  

Dawn Marie Danylchuk, Licensed Funeral Director

Was born in Fort Frances and raised in Emo. In 1998 she and her husband moved to Georgetown, Ontario and resided there for 9 years. During this time she enrolled in the Funeral Services program at Humber College School of Technology. Before moving back to Emo, Dawn Marie completed her internship at Blake Funeral Chapel in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She graduated from Humber College and received her Ontario Funeral Director License in 2008. Dawn Marie works part time at Northridge Funeral Home and also works in the class rooms of the Rainy River District School Board.

Non-Licenced Staff

Although not licensed funeral directors, these members of our staff are vitally important toward the operation of our firm. These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.

Rhonda Lilley, Funeral Home Assistant

Rhonda began working for Northridge Funeral Home in July of 2010. She is originally from Amaranth, Manitoba. She was a former municipal councilor of the RM of Alonsa, MB and operated her own business many years before moving to Ontario. She was a volunteer at the Amaranth and Area senior group.

We welcome Rhonda as part of the Northridge Funeral Home family.

Mavis (Brown) St. Hilaire, Funeral Home Assistant/Noble Monument Consultant

Mavis works for the funeral home on a casual basis along with working for the Ministry of Transportation on a full time.  

Mavis is also the proud co owner of Noble Monument Sales. She is available at 482-3778 or 482-3788 to answer all your monument needs and questions.

Ken Noble, Funeral Home Assistant (retired)

Ken was born and raised in the Stratton area and has worked with all the staff over the years and has been a true asset to our operation at Northridge Funeral Home. He has served the district for decades selling monuments and has since retired from our firm. Ken and his wife now volunteer at the Senior Centre in Fort Frances on a regular basis.

Rachel is one of our part-time funeral assistants. Rachel is a member of Our Lady of the Way Catholic Parish in Pinewood and also is a valued member of the Catholic Woman's League. She also serves on the Our Lady of the Way Catholic Cemetery Board.

Funeral Assistant and stationary designer Anne began working for us in 2017. She worked for the Rainy River Record for many years until the paper was discontinued. She is a valued member of the Rainy River Knox United Church serving and volunteering in many capacities. she also sings in the community choir.

Bill Low, Funeral Assistant (retired)

Bill began working with us in 2011.Before retirement he taught for many years and was a principle at many of the schools across the district. He is a familiar face for those coming to the funeral home. Bill along with his wife Cheryl have since retired and now reside at Clearwater Lake at their lake home.

Ralph Fluit, Funeral Assistant/Clergy

Ralph and his wife Anne to the district to retire from southern Ontario. His wife Anne was raised in the Emo area. Ralph is a retired Presbyterian minister and he still fills in for the local churches in Rainy River, Emo and Nestor Falls from time to time. He also officiates at at funerals as clergy and in addition Ralph helps us as a staff member on funerals. 

Aime Desaulniers, Funeral Assistant

Aime helps us part time on funerals. Aime and his wife Jean resides in Pinewood. Aime is a former municipal counselor for the Township of Dawson, and volunteer fire fighter as well for the Township of Dawson. Aime worked for many years hauling freight and dry goods to stores and small businesses all the district.

Dixiewas born and raised in the Emo area and after retiring from Post Master in Emo, she then came to work for Northridge Funeral Home. Dixie is a familiar face to many that come to Northridge from her many years working for Canada Post.

Larry has worked in the district and across the country as a optician and after retirement came to work for Northridge. Larry also travels between communities taking people to medical appointments and he is an avid trumpet player.

Beth or Brenda as some of us know her as has been working for Northridge for several years now after retiring from Fillion Accounting in Fort Frances. She helps with daily operations at the funeral home and can often been seen working at services as well.
